A Combat Veteran’s Hope (ACVH) will be hosting its inaugural Operation HOPE 8k on Saturday November 9, 2019 at Cutler Park in Visalia. Money raised from this event will go to continue the ACVH mission of “empowering Combat Veterans through engagement with each other and their local community.” ACVH is a Visalia-based federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit that began in 2015, as there was an unmet need in the Central Valley to serve all our Combat Veterans of every generation. We hold events every month that bring together our cliental throughout Central California. These events and programs range from our softball and volleyball teams and monthly dinners at a local restaurant, to family holiday events like our Christmas Party or Summer Fun at one of the waterparks in Fresno. All of our events are at no cost to our Veterans – we operate solely off grants and donations received from our community and corporate sponsors. We work with other businesses and Veteran Service Organizations (VSOs) to bring about new programs such as our partnership with California Service Dog Academy and Central California Adaptive Sports Center to ensure every generation of Combat Veterans successfully integrates back into their local community. We are still accepting sponsorship at this time. If you or your business would like to help sponsor this race, please contact us at cj.cantu@acvhope.org
