In 1938, a small group of dedicated and concerned teachers met for the purpose of forming a financial cooperative for school employees and their families. From these very humble beginnings, Valley Strong Credit Union was founded and formed. A lot has changed over the last 86 years, however, our commitment to serving the San Joaquin Valley remains the same. Today, Valley Strong Credit Union operates 33 locations, serving more than 260,000 individuals, with approximately $4 billion in assets, and remains one of the largest financial institutions headquartered in the San Joaquin Valley. Locally, there are 5 full-service Branches in Tulare County to meet the needs of the community (one in Visalia, and one each in Tulare, Porterville, Dinuba and Hanford).
