DESCRIPTION:ARTS CONSORTIUM PRESENTS VISALIA AROUND THE WORLD- EXHIBITION OF NATIONAL ATTIRE BY EFRAIN BECERRA\, HISTORIAN\n\n \n\nFRIDAY\, MAY 1ST \n\n5:00PM-8:00PM\n\nEXHIBIT MAY TO JUNE\n\nFREE TO THE PUBLIC\n\nVISALIA ARTS CONSORTIUM\n\n\n\nThis special exhibition is curated by Efrain Becera\, a community historian\, cultural educator\, and founder of AMELAT (Artistic Multicultural Expression of Love and Talent). Since 2016\, Efrain Becera has humbly and consistently contributed to the preservation\, celebration\, and visibility of cultural diversity in Visalia through education\, dance\, and community service always at no cost to the community.\n\n\n\nVisalia Around the World will showcase national attire from across the globe\, representing the United States\, Central America\, South America\, Europe\, Asia\, and Southeast Asia. Each piece reflects cultural identity\, craftsmanship\, and history many custom-made by artisans and community members here in California\, others lovingly gifted or donated from their countries of origin.\n\n\n\nThis exhibition also highlights the mission of AMELAT\, an inclusive\, international cultural organization currently building a multicultural dance team in the Central Valley. AMELAT embraces all forms of artistic expression dance\, music\, poetry\, visual art\, sculpture\, and even culinary traditions as a way to unite communities and celebrate heritage through talent and love.\n\n\n\nThe May 1st opening night will include:\n\n\n\n- Live cultural entertainment\n\n- Distinguished public servants and community leaders\n\n- Local and regional media coverage\n\n- Light refreshments and food\n\n- A welcoming space for dialogue\, culture\, and celebration please mark your calendars.  If possible a  certificate would be humbled and appreciated \n\n\n\nThis is more than an exhibit it is a cultural milestone for Visalia and the Central Valley. Your presence would truly honor the evening and help amplify a message of unity\, representation\, and cultural pride.
