SUMMARY:Arts Visalia Presents: Cyphers and Codes in the Coral Sea by Dean De Cocker
DESCRIPTION:Do you have an interest in the mechanics of planes\, bikes and heavy machinery? See the creatively engineered art of Turlock-based artist Dean De Cocker this July at Arts Visalia. Sculptures and experimental photography inspired by the machines that take us places fill the galleries in this conceptual exhibition. De Cocker's work has been featured in multiple art museums including The Crocker and the Riverside Art Museum and can be seen this July only at Arts Visalia. The exhibition opens July 8th and runs through July 25th Wednesday   Saturday\, 12:00 pm   5:30 pm. A special Summer Night Lights Opening Reception will take place July 10th from 5:00 pm   7:30 pm with FREE snow cones by Sno Bro Snowcones and Arts Visalia drawing sets for children while supplies last. Meet the artist and learn about his inspiration and how he built skillset during a free Artist Talk on Saturday\, August 1 at 3:00 pm. Registration for Young at Art: Summer Youth Art Classes is now open! Register your young artist age 5   17 for up to 6 weeks of creative fun and expression. Classes are a great way to get the kids out of the house and spend some time in the studio with other artists their age. Different classes each week! Full and partial scholarships are available. Celebrate the creativity of the summer classes with the Young at Art: Summer Youth Art Exhibition this August 6   22\, 2026. Community members are invited to join family and friends of the young artists who participated in summer art classes for a fun-filled opening reception on August 7 from 5:00 pm -7:30 pm featuring free root beer floats by A&W Restaurants and free sketchbooks for kids while supplies last. This event is part of the Tulare County Health and Human Services' Summer Night Lights programming that is designed to give the youth of our community fun and engaging events this summer.
