DESCRIPTION:"Excursions" by Aaron Gomes will open Thursday\, January 2\, 2025 and run through Saturday\, January 4\, 2025. An opening reception with live music composed and performed by the artist will be held on Friday\, January 3rd from 5:00   7:30 pm. An Artist Talk exploring the artwork will be free and open to the public Saturday\, January 4 at 2:00 pm. Aaron Gomes' whimsical minimalist line paintings aim to celebrate freedom and spontaneity. Aaron will be playing accompanying musical compositions that he created in tandem with his paintings during his unique artmaking process. Call to Artists: The annual Community Show call for artists is now open. Artists can submit up to 3 pieces of original art to be exhibited in April 2025. This year's theme is "Environment." The artist call will be open until February 18\, 2025. Submit your work online at www.artsvisalia.org. Arts Visalia will be closed to the public for renovations January 5   February 4\, 2025. However some workshops will still be available for participation during this time. Please visit www.artsvisalia.org for an updated list of workshops.
