DESCRIPTION:Linked Learning Parent Information Nights\, Jan. 17\, 18\n\nParent Information Nights will be held at 6 p.m. at the El Diamante Theater on Jan. 17 and 18 for parents of students who are considering applying for a Linked Learning Academy as freshmen next year. Presentations will be made in English and Spanish. The four-year academies offered are: agriculture animal science\; architecture and engineering\; business/finance\; computer science\; engineering and agricultural manufacturing\; first responders\; health sciences\; law and justice\; media arts\; and STRONG (sports therapy\, rehabilitation\, orthopedics\, and neuromuscular gains).  The information nights will inform parents about the academies and the application process. Applications are available online at vusd.org\, and students are accepted on a space-available basis. Linked Learning combines rigorous academics with career-themed courses and work-based learning to help prepare students for college and career.
