DESCRIPTION:Join the SHRM T/K Legislative Director\, Faith Lisle Driscoll\, as she reviews the new laws\, regulations and judicial opinions affecting California employers this year.  This training session will include:\n\n\n	modifications to the state mandated paid sick leave\,  \n	expanded protections for whistleblowers\, \n	new interpretations to religious accommodation requirements\, \n	the new Equal Pay Act\, update on FMLA\, and \n	dealing with the new strict compensation requirements for piece-rate compensation.  \n\nAttendees will be provided with practical tips for applying the changes in the workplace and communicating them through employee handbook revisions.  Bring your notepad and questions to get the most out of this session!\n\n \n\nBio: Faith Lisle Driscoll was born and raised in Fresno.  She is a graduate of California State University\, Fresno and holds a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship.  She continued her education at San Joaquin College of Law\, where she received her Juris Doctorate degree.  Her legal practice is concentrated in the areas of employment compliance and litigation.  She assists employers in disputes involving claims of unpaid wages\, discrimination\, harassment\, retaliation and wrongful termination.  Ms. Driscoll also drafts employment agreements and ensures employment handbooks are compliant with state and federal law.  Additional areas of representation include general business litigation matters including breach of contract\, torts and commercial collections.
