DESCRIPTION:The Art of Arts Visalia showcases works of art by Arts Visalia staff\, volunteers\, teachers\, and adult class participants. We love providing a space for the artists in our community and are proud to display expressions of our own creativity in this January exhibition. The Art of Arts Visalia runs from January 4th-27th\, 2023 with a First Friday opening reception January 6th\, 2023\, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. During the opening reception enjoy music from Chicano musician Pa?Chango. In February be sure to join us for exhibitions from national artists Lisa Turner and Mayuko Ono Gray. Lisa Turner is a Washington state-based artist who utilizes popular imagery to create visually striking screen prints that examine mass media\, material culture\, and consumerism. Currently living in Texas\, Mayuko Ono Gray artfully blends Western traditional drawing with Japanese calligraphy\, the influence of her childhood in Japan\, to create beautiful graphite drawings. Both exhibitions run from February 1-24th\, 2023 with a First Friday Reception on February 3rd from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Enroll now in art classes for children and adults.
