DESCRIPTION:Visalia Unified School District has always had a strong connection to the business community of Visalia. Visalia Partners in Education (VPIE) organization is just another fine example of an outstanding business and education partnership that supports students. VPIE is the umbrella organization\, under which all business and industry partnerships occur. The organization is nearly 15 years old: but in recent years\, has stepped up its efforts to support and advocate for education in the community of Visalia.\n\nOn January 19\, 2017\, Visalia Partners in Education and the Visalia Unified School District are hosting the first VPIE Partner Recognition Luncheon. The luncheon will be held at the Visalia Marriott and will begin at 12:30 PM. This event provides an opportunity for VUSD and VPIE to recognize outstanding partners from across the community who have given of themselves and/or their business to support education. It is our opportunity to say "Thank You" and recognize their amazing work.\n\nThe luncheon follows the last recruitment session for our Linked Learning Academies. This event is attended by all VUSD 8th graders and is held at the LJ Williams Theater. The recruitment begins at 11:00 AM and will conclude by 12:00 PM\, leaving plenty of time to get to the Marriott.\n\nWe hope you can join us for this special luncheon and help us recognize a group of truly amazing Visalia Partners in Education.
