Family Services of Tulare County is presenting its Sixth Annual Guest Chef Series event on the evening of Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Brodersen home (Visalia). This is our signature fundraising event and a premier food and wine event for Tulare County. This year’s Presidential-themed soirée will transport guests to the Federal City for an elegant, fun-filled evening of creative cuisine, fine wine, and live entertainment. Washington D.C. chef and former White House employee Michael Ratzlaff will dazzle guests with his salute to the classic American fare Presidents and dignitaries enjoy at State Dinners.

Admission to this uniquely all-inclusive event allows you to enjoy a truly special cooking demonstration, tastings and recipes paired with fine wines; catered dinner and dessert served by The Vintage Press; as well as festive live entertainment.

The mission of Family Services is to help children, adults, and families throughout Tulare County heal from violence and thrive in healthy relationships.  We have operated as a nonprofit organization for more than 30 years and serve over 3,000 men, women and children in need each year. Our agency is dedicated to assisting families by providing the following services:  

• Karen’s House emergency shelter for women and children escaping domestic violence
• More than 50 units of supportive housing for victims of abuse or families living with disabling conditions
• Free/low-cost mental health services
• Supervised visitation and safe exchange services
• Rape crisis hotline and advocacy
• Parenting classes and in-home support
