The American Red Cross Central Valley Region and Southern California Edison are launching Team Firestopper in the Visalia community on January 26th, 2013. Team Firestopper is a fire prevention and mitigation program aimed at reducing the amount of home fires in the Central Valley by hosting hands-on activities that educate the community against the risk and dangers of home fires. Participants in the program will receive a FREE smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fire extinguisher, and surge protector. Volunteers Needed:
The Red Cross is still in need of volunteers to join Team Firestopper on January 12th, 2013 from 10:00am – 1:00pm to assist in community canvassing.
Volunteers will meet at the American Red Cross Visalia Branch Office, 505 W. Main Street, Visalia, CA and travel in pairs to deliver fire safety information to the surrounding neighborhoods.
