October features the work of Jesus Santa Cruz and Arien Reed. Santa Cruz expresses the intersectionality of queer and Mexican American experiences through printmaking and ceramics. Reed creates mixed media portraits of trans individuals throughout history. The exhibitions will run from October 3-26, 2024. November at Arts Visalia will showcase a variety of hand-crafted altar spaces for Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). The altars will be on exhibit between October 31 -November 15, 2024. An opening reception will take place on Friday, November 1 from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm. A cultural presentation featuring a talk, and a mariachi band will take place on Saturday, November 2 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Cultural dancers and children's crafts will be at Arts Visalia on Saturday, November 9 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. The Annual Holiday Show & Sale featuring hand-crafted artisan goods and wares will open Friday, November 22 and run through Saturday, December 21, 2024.
