Arts Visalia Presents: Susan Moore-Reflective State & The Illustrative Works of Emma Mora

For our anticipated June reopening Arts Visalia is planning something a little different. Instead of our usual First Friday opening reception we will be having a Last Friday closing reception. Provided that it is deemed safe the exhibition will be on display from June 3rd through the 27th and include Susan Moore- Reflective State and The Illustrative Works of Emma Mora. On June 27th there will be an artist talk at 1:00pm in the gallery. We will also be making a Virtual Gallery Tour available which can be found at: www.artsvisalia.org/virtual-tours. Using impressionist brush strokes and vibrant color schemes Susan Moore works to encapsulate the mood of her subject.. Finding the perfect imperfections she is able to enhance the varied landscapes and still lifes of her artwork. Moore finds that the process is a labor of love that allows her to rework her pieces until she has captured the emotion properly. Taking inspiration from internet culture, Emma Mora creates varied work that encapsulates fashion, music, and character designs. Using a variety of mediums she designs unique and odd characters. Mora finds inspiration from the musical artists she has worked with to create a diverse portfolio that will be on display. During these challenging times, Arts Visalia is determined to keep our staff employed, have exhibitions hung, and update our art class curricula so we are ready when it’s time to reopen. As we transform our work, we are reaching out with a unique opportunity sure to brighten your day. For each $25 donation made to Arts Visalia, you will receive one 4-card set of original Orchid greeting cards and be entered in a drawing to win one of the original artworks created by our local art community.
