This 24-hour course is designed to give trainees an introduction to Human Machine Interface (HMI) programming using FactoryTalk View Studio and understand how HMIs and PLCs integrate in a control system. After completing this course, trainees will be able to establish communication between a PanelView HMI and a CompactLogix PLC, design an HMI interface and make that interface work with a PLC ladder logic program. Topics Covered: Basic functions and components of a PLC and HMI control system Brief intro/refresher on ladder logic Getting online with a PLC via Ethernet Writing a ladder logic program Setting up a PanelView for communication Establishing communication between our CompactLogix and PanelView Tag connections Creating an interface
