COS: Books are the Hooks

Have you ever used a children’s book reading in your preschool classroom with the intention of teaching a math skill? Have you ever used only one page in a children’s book to teach an entire lesson, rather than reading the whole book? Are you comfortable selecting high quality children’s books, that are culturally reflective, and also teach skills in multiple domains? This workshop will help you understand how books are the hooks to grab children’s attention before reeling them in for a plethora of other learning!
