The public is invited to attend this special event that will be held in the parking lot at the corner of the intersection and will feature appetizers and refreshments from nearby businesses Azul Mexican Grill, Osaka Sushi and Japanese Cuisine, and Subway. The first 50 adult attendees will receive a nominal gift while all attendees will be placed in a raffle that continues to support the local businesses. “We hope everyone can join us and enjoy the refreshments, place their name in for the raffle and take part in the ribbon cutting,” shared Steven Weatherly, City of Visalia Project Manager. “The Goshen and Demaree intersection is a highly traveled route for many Visalians and this is our way of saying thank you to everyone for their patience while we completed the work.” The ribbon-cutting ceremony will include remarks from Mayor Bob Link, details on the project and the official cutting of the ribbon, or in this case, the construction tape. For those that are unable to attend, the event will be live streamed here on the City's Facebook page.
