Sequoia Parks Conservancy, in partnership with the National Park Service, is thrilled to announce the return of the Dark Sky Festival to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks from September 6-8, 2024. This year’s festival, themed “Discover the Dark,” is packed with stargazing, science, and community events that promise to deepen your connection with the night sky and highlight the importance of preserving natural darkness.

Saturday night, join us for star parties at Wuksachi Lodge and Big Stump Picnic Area. You’ll get to gaze at the night sky through telescopes and learn from local astronomers, scientists, and park rangers about the wonders of the cosmos and why it’s so important to protect our dark skies.
