Sleep Disorders Support Group free workshop and sleep apnea screenings
The free support group is called A.W.A.K.E. because it helps people stay alert, well and keep energetic.
The support group will host a CPAP workshop and free sleep apnea screenings from 5:30-7 p.m. inside the Acequia Wing Conference Room (first floor of Kaweah Delta Medical Center) at Acequia Avenue and Floral Street. People should bring CPAP machine, hose and mask to the assessment. CPAP stands for continuous positive airway pressure, a treatment that uses mild air pressure to keep the airways open.

Located at 126 S. Floral St., Kaweah Delta’s Sleep Disorders Center is an eight-room center staffed with board-registered technologists who conduct sleep studies in a home-like setting. All tests are interpreted by physicians who are board certified in sleep medicine.
