Wuksachi Lodge at Sequoia National Park will celebrate Earth Day with eco-friendly activities to entertain visitors and highlight its longstanding commitment to sustainability. Coinciding with the lodge’s green events, entrance to Sequoia National Park is free for “National Park Week,” April 22-26. Additionally, the sequoia hotel will offer its Sequoia Parks Foundation Package through May 12 and donate 10% of the room rate to the Sequoia Parks Foundation, a nonprofit that funds projects and programs that enhance the restoration, conservation and enjoyment of Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
Wuksachi Lodge will honor Earth Day with its annual Earth Day Fair on Sat., April 20. The celebration will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Lodgepole Complex, located just a few miles from the lodge. The family-friendly event features educational displays, interpretive information, organic and natural snacks, recycled-material souvenirs and plenty of giveaways. Local educators will also be on hand to take visitors on explorations of the impressive animal and plant world living within the park.

Beginning at 6 p.m. the same evening Wuksachi Lodge will host a two-hour family program with interactive games. Additionally, guests can enjoy sustainable culinary creations throughout the weekend the lodge’s signature dining venue, The Peaks Restaurant.
