| The Soft Skills for Healthcare Heroes training will provide healthcare professionals, at various levels, with the soft skills needed to effectively manage themselves and their surroundings, communicate and collaborate with colleagues, manage conflict, and ultimately provide patients with the best care possible. The ability to effectively do your job as a healthcare worker, while balancing your personal stress level and showing empathy to patients can be a challenge to say the least. Employees’ lack of soft skills at work is the #1 problem plaguing today’s workforce and the added pressures healthcare workers face makes it all the more difficult to achieve soft skill success at work. No matter the age, technical skill, or level of your employees, all can benefit from this training and set your company on the road to success. For too long, interpersonal abilities have taken a back seat to technical skills and healthcare organizations have been obligated to hire candidates who may have the technical skills needed but perhaps lack the interpersonal skills that will ultimately make them successful and set the workplace apart. SECOND ANNUAL FARMER BOB’S 5K POKER RUN/WALK IS MAY 5TH.PRESENTERS ARE SIERRA CREST AG, NIELSEN INSURANCE.
Farmer Bob’s 5K Poker Run/Walk is unique for two reasons, the course is entirely within orange orchards and the only “Poker” race in the Central San Joaquin Valley, according to Ben Blankenship, Race Director. “This run/walk is like no other…we dare you to call our bluff!”
Event will be held in the McKellar Ranch Co. orchards near Ivanhoe. It will start and end in the Historic Seven Sycamores wedding venue. Proceeds will benefit a local not-for-profit to be announced when the selection is named April 1st, according to Bob McKellar on whose property the race will be run.
To run or walk in the event, register at www.runsignup.com and find us using Farmer Bob’s 5K Poker Run/Walk. Last year’s event drew nearly 200 racers. More are expected this year.
The presenters of this event are two well-known agricultural organizations here in California: Nielsen Insurance, David Nielsen and Sierra Crest Ag, orchard management, Greg Galloway. Today, Assemblyman Vince Fong (R-Central Valley) announced mobile office hours for the month of January. Mobile office hours will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Visalia Chamber of Commerce.
“Mobile office hours are an effective way for our office to connect with constituents of the 32nd Assembly District”, said Assemblyman Fong. “If you are in need of assistance with any State agencies or would like to voice your opinion about legislation, we encourage you to visit our mobile office site.”
Assemblyman Fong’s office can assist constituents with an array of issues including with the Employment Development Department, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Consumer Affairs and other State agencies.
Mobile office hours will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Visalia Chamber of Commerce located at 220 S. Mooney Blvd, Suite B, Visalia, CA 93291. A representative will be available from 12 PM – 2 PM.
Appointments are not required but highly encouraged. To make an appointment, please contact the District Office at 661-395-2995.

| The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) has established the Produce Safety Rule, which forms, for the first time, science-based minimum standards for the safe growing, harvesting, packing, and holding of fruits and vegetables grown for human consumption. Who should attend the grower training? Fruit and vegetable growers and others interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co-management of natural resources and food safety. The PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement outlined in §112.22(c) that requires ‘At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.’ |

| The Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) has established the Produce Safety Rule, which forms, for the first time, science-based minimum standards for the safe growing, harvesting, packing, and holding of fruits and vegetables grown for human consumption. Who should attend the grower training? Fruit and vegetable growers and others interested in learning about produce safety, the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule, Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs), and co-management of natural resources and food safety. The PSA Grower Training Course is one way to satisfy the FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirement outlined in §112.22(c) that requires ‘At least one supervisor or responsible party for your farm must have successfully completed food safety training at least equivalent to that received under standardized curriculum recognized as adequate by the Food and Drug Administration.’ |

Today, Assemblyman Vince Fong (R-Central Valley) announced mobile office hours for the month of January. Mobile office hours will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Visalia Chamber of Commerce.
“Mobile office hours are an effective way for our office to connect with constituents of the 32nd Assembly District”, said Assemblyman Fong. “If you are in need of assistance with any State agencies or would like to voice your opinion about legislation, we encourage you to visit our mobile office site.”
Assemblyman Fong’s office can assist constituents with an array of issues including with the Employment Development Department, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Consumer Affairs and other State agencies.
Mobile office hours will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Visalia Chamber of Commerce located at 220 S. Mooney Blvd, Suite B, Visalia, CA 93291. A representative will be available from 12 PM – 2 PM.

Today, Assemblyman Vince Fong (R-Central Valley) announced mobile office hours for the month of January. Mobile office hours will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Visalia Chamber of Commerce.
“Mobile office hours are an effective way for our office to connect with constituents of the 32nd Assembly District”, said Assemblyman Fong. “If you are in need of assistance with any State agencies or would like to voice your opinion about legislation, we encourage you to visit our mobile office site.”
Assemblyman Fong’s office can assist constituents with an array of issues including with the Employment Development Department, the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Department of Consumer Affairs and other State agencies.
Mobile office hours will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Visalia Chamber of Commerce located at 220 S. Mooney Blvd, Suite B, Visalia, CA 93291. A representative will be available from 12 PM – 2 PM.
