Mid-Year Legal Update

Join us to learn about the new legislation and cases impacting employers and workplaces. Faith Driscoll, Legislative Director for SHRM T/K, will go over how to prepare for these changes and provide tools to reduce the risk of being sued by employees. Topics will include:

Compliance with the new Fair Labor Standards Act Overtime Rule
Expansion of disability accommodation requirements
Changes to rules on rounding on time cards, and
Handling transgender and sexual orientation issues.

Faith Driscoll is an attorney with the law firm of Walter Wilhelm Bauer. She represents employers in the areas of employment compliance and litigation. She assists employers in resolving disputes involving claims of unpaid wages, discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination. Ms. Driscoll also drafts employment agreements, handbooks and provides training for business owners, supervisors and human resource practitioners.
