Wellness in the Workplace
No organization is immune to the human and financial costs of workplace and personal troubles that adversely affect an employee’s productivity. Today, over 88% of U.S. companies are taking steps to increase their productivity and manage their health care costs by providing employees and family members with access to Employee Assistance and Corporate Wellness Programs.
Effective programs provide a multidisciplinary suite of services to support to employees while encouraging them to make better lifestyle choices to improve their health and well-being through counseling, health coaching, incentives and a wealth of other resources. They should also be able to suit the unique needs, goals and budget of the organization. The end result is happier, more productive employees and an improvement in the overall health and wellbeing of the organization.
